Simply Smoothies

A couple of you have asked for my smoothie recipes, so here are a few of my favorites….

Cinnamon Chia Smoothie

1 banana
1 c.almond milk
1 scoop Chia Seeds
CINNAMON ( I probably use close to 2tbsp cause I LOVE IT!!)
2tbsp peanut or almond butter
6 ice cubes
Blend and ENJOY!

Carbs: 54 g
Fat: 25 g

Protein: 12 g

Green Monster Smoothie
This is a great smoothie for athletes who are experiencing exercise-induced anemia. The spinach and almond butter provide great sources of iron and the Vitamin C from the orange juice* aids in iron absorption.

1 banana
1c Orange Juice*
1c spinach
2tbsp almond butter
6 ice cubes then Blend!!

*Make sure the orange juice you choose does not have calcium in it, since calcium inhibits the absorption of iron.

Superfood Recovery Smoothie
1 scoop chocolate muscle milk protein powder
1.5 cups almond milk
1 cup chopped kale greens
1 banana
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp almond butter
ice cubes
Blend!!

Fat: 19 g
Sodium: 482 mg
Protein: 24 g
Fiber: 14 g
